| In his pictures of isolated objects (structures or persons), often in combination with blue skies, Henk Kuiper investigates how photography continually balances on the edge between the exact representation of reality and and autonomous visual practise that does not reproduce reality but rather transcends it. | In zijn foto's van geïsoleerde objecten (gebouwen of personen), vaak in combinatie met blauwe luchten, onderzoekt Henk Kuiper hoe de fotografie voortdurend balanceert op de grens tussen een getrouwe representatie van de werkelijkheid en een autonome beeldpraktijk die de werkelijkheid niet zozeer reproduceert maar overstijgt. | |||
