Delft. Stadsrechten in 1246. Graaf Willem II verleende Delft op 15 april 1246 het stadsrecht. Prins Willem van Oranje woonde in het Sint Agathaklooster, thans museum Het Prinsenhof, in Delft van 1572 t/m 1584. In 1584 werd hij er vermoord door Balthasar Gerards. De Oranjes worden sindsdien bijgezet in de Nieuwe Kerk van Delft. Bijnaam van de stad is Prinsenstad. | Delft.
